Candidate AI Notice — Leap Tiger™ transparency
This notice explains how 3i People uses artificial intelligence to assist our recruiters when we evaluate your candidacy for an open role. It is the plain-English summary of our broader Privacy Policy — Section 6 (Automated decision-making and AI-assisted recruiting). Read this before you upload a resume, accept a screening interview, or proceed with any role placement.
The short version
- We use a proprietary AI platform, Leap Tiger™, to read your resume and suggest roles that match your background.
- A human recruiter makes every hiring decision. Leap Tiger™ does not decide whether you advance or get hired.
- You can opt out of AI processing or request a fully human-led review at any time, with no penalty to your candidacy.
- If you are a candidate for a New York City role and Leap Tiger™ will be used to assess you, we will send you this notice at least 10 business days before that use, in line with NYC Local Law 144.
What Leap Tiger™ does
- Reads your resume. It extracts text from the document you uploaded and turns it into structured fields (titles, employers, dates, skills, certifications, education, locations) so a recruiter can review your background quickly.
- Suggests role matches. It compares your background to the qualifications listed in an open role and produces a match indicator with a short explanation of which qualifications matched. This indicator is informational. It does not, by itself, decide anything about your candidacy.
- Helps recruiters prepare outreach and schedule interviews. Recruiters review and send every outreach message themselves.
What Leap Tiger™ does not do
- It does not make hiring decisions. Every candidate we submit to a client is reviewed and approved by a human recruiter.
- It does not use your race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, national origin, disability status, sexual orientation, marital status, or family status as inputs.
- It does not use facial recognition, voice analysis, sentiment analysis, video-interview scoring, or any biometric assessment.
- It does not compete candidates against each other. Each candidate is evaluated independently against the role’s requirements.
- It does not ingest scraped public profile data, social-graph data, or third-party background data without your prior consent.
Job qualifications Leap Tiger™ assesses
For any given role, Leap Tiger™ compares your background against the qualifications the hiring client has specified for that role. Typical inputs include:
- Required skills, technologies, tools, or programming languages
- Years of experience in relevant roles
- Industry experience (for example, financial services, telecom, healthcare)
- Professional certifications and licenses (for example, PE, NCEES, NABCEP, AWS, PMP)
- Education level and field of study
- Work-eligibility status and willingness to relocate or travel
- Project or domain keywords specific to the open role
How your data is handled
The only data Leap Tiger™ uses is information you have already shared with us — your resume, your application form answers, notes captured by your recruiter, and a structured record of which roles you have been submitted to. We retain this data for as long as we have an active recruiting relationship with you, plus up to 24 months after your last interaction. You can request earlier deletion at any time.
Full data-handling details, including the legal bases under GDPR and your CCPA/CPRA rights, are in our Privacy Policy.
Your rights
- Opt out of AI processing. Email [email protected] with the subject line “AI opt-out.” Your application will continue through a traditional recruiter-led process with no AI involvement. Opting out will not, by itself, disqualify you from any role.
- Request a fresh human review. If you believe Leap Tiger™ output was used to your disadvantage, email us with the subject line “Human review request.” A senior recruiter will review your candidacy without referring to the prior AI output and share the outcome with you.
- Ask what data is held about you. Email us with the subject line “AI data request” and we will provide a copy of the structured fields Leap Tiger™ has parsed about you, plus any match indicators that have been generated.
- Request reasonable accommodation. If you need an accommodation under the ADA, GDPR Article 22, or any analogous law — for example, because of a disability that affects how your resume reads to an automated parser — email us and we will work with you on an appropriate alternative.
- Correct or delete your data. The same rights described in the Privacy Policy — access, correction, deletion, portability — apply to data Leap Tiger™ holds about you.
NYC Local Law 144 — 10-business-day pre-notice
If you are a candidate for a job located in New York City and Leap Tiger™ will be used to assess your candidacy, your recruiter will send you a copy of this notice at least 10 business days before that assessment begins. The recruiter’s notice will tell you:
- That Leap Tiger™ will be used in your assessment for that role.
- The job qualifications and characteristics Leap Tiger™ will assess (the list in “Job qualifications Leap Tiger™ assesses” above).
- The data inputs Leap Tiger™ will use (the list in “How your data is handled” above).
- Your right to request an alternative selection process or reasonable accommodation.
You can request an alternative selection process or accommodation by replying to your recruiter’s email, or by writing to [email protected]. There is no penalty for making this request.
Bias monitoring
We periodically review Leap Tiger™ output for evidence of disparate impact across protected categories. Our recruiters are trained to use Leap Tiger™ as one input among many, to override the platform’s suggestion when their judgment differs, and to document the reasoning behind every candidate submission. If a NYC Local Law 144 bias audit becomes required by the way we use Leap Tiger™ in NYC placements, we will commission an audit by an independent auditor and publish the summary at this URL.
